Kristen Sweeden has been a resident of Ponder for 30 years and has raised three children in the district. She has been involved in the community in different facets. She was a member of the Lady VIP's, cheer coach for 4 years and assisted with and served on the Ponder PALS board. She is also a Co-Founder of Lion Elite Basketball.

John Sweeden is a 20 year Army Veteran. After retirement, John returned back to his alma mater, Lake Dallas, to teach and coach. He has also been a volunteer football coach in Ponder's PALS organization. He brings leadership, sports IQ, and experience in player development to our organization. John is also a Co-Founder of Lion Elite Basketball.

Melissa Johnson is a resident of Ponder with her husband and children. Melissa and her husband Patrick have served many roles in Ponder's youth sports programs including coaching and serving on the Ponder PALS board. Having a family of multi-sport athletes, Melissa is able to bring a different perspective to our board.

Savannah Ruyle has years of experience as a Program Admin. Her and her husband Matt, have been volunteering for Lion Elite Basketball since they joined our program in 2025. Savannah's position as Program Director entails many moving parts that often change on a whim and handles it all in stride.
